    when I go Start>Programs>accessories
    my calculator isn't there.

does anyone know what the name of the acually .exe is?

Shouldn't I be able to find it in Find>Files or from the Start>Run program?

    I'm using win2000

    thanks

    In NT4.0 it is:
    C:\WINNT\system32\calc.exe

*calc* in Find>Files returns a bunch of stuff but NOT the calculator.

    what the hell?

I just re-installed my OS but I didn't do anything different than I normaly do. This is weird....

Try going to Add/Remove Windows Components thru the control panel and see if Windows thinks it was installed. You can hide stuff using C:\WINNT\inf\sysoc.inf though.

It's easier to just hit the windows key and press R then type calc and enter than it is to navigate through the start menu to get to the calculator. That's what I always do anyway.

the quick keys are great ideas but the thing has to be on my machine for them to work.

No joking I just did my friends taxes (I used to be an accountant) last month (he coulden't find his paperwork and the IRS said it was cool as long as he didn't owe).

I don't like to use my mouse sometimes so I set up shortcut keys for alot of progs I use often (alt + ctrl + i for internet explorer, etc...) That way I never have to take my fingers off the keys.
