For $2000, Monarch or iBuyPower or even ABSPC can probably get you something better than what you can get in Best Buy or CompUSA. What drives you to the big name stores rather than to online? You get a lot for your money online, and without the non-standard architectures and crap you get from Compaq or HP or whoever.
