It was a compaq, i know compaqs werent that good before, but they have gotten better since their merger. This wasn't built crappy, sometimes they are built crappy but this one was organized and the parts seemed fine, its open architechture for convenient future upgrades.

Oh i checked about the videocard thing im im pretty sure its true, cause i have a computer upgrading book that talks about adding and designating ram for video cards
