    Convery BMP to GIF or JPEG

    Does anyone have a control or some API to help me convert a BMP file to a JPEG or a GIF file? All i want to do is make the BMP smaller.

    The best thing for this is the Intel Jpeg Library, it allows you to convert BMP to JPeg nicely..

    not sure where to find it , if you search Intel's web site for IJL it should come up (get the highest version number you can).

    Sorry, i meant to day i "could not" find it, but it doesnt matter because i just looked again and found it. Go to vbaccelerator.com, click on MEDIA from the menu, and its on the list that pops up (on the top when i checked). Thanks!
