    .mim files?

    What are .mim files?

A friend asked me to help him with some files attached to email.

I installed PKzip on his system and unzipped several files for him. Several had .mim as the file extension. There was nothing on his system which would open these files. With each .mim file was a file with no extension.

He said the email messages gave no clue. He had deleted the email, so I could not contact the sender.

The file names gave no clue. I looked into the files and could tell they were not word processor files, but could not guess at anything else.

    Does anybody have a clue?

They are MIME files (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extension), they could contain anything.
