    Any software for this?

Is there any software that can take a scanned image, of a page, and convert it to text?

Not the software that comes bundled with the scanner, rather an independent one perhaps?

    Thanks.

I think it was called "Scanworks". It's over 5 years since I used it though, memory is failing me

I don't use anoy of that myself, but just try searching for "OCR software"... I'm sure something will come up!

Scansoft Paperport has a little OCR program in it. It also has a lot of neat features like insert document in word, excel, or recycle bin.

Heh, I'd had managers ask me to buy them OCR software because they thought it would magically take paper forms and convert them to perfectly fill-out-able MS Word documents...

    Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Ohh man I only wish it worked.

When I was working for Inco (large, large mining company here, and just about everywhere else on teh planet), I had to create a very detailed and complex form into an ASP page and have it draw data from a databse....bloody hell took 3 days to get the layout done

But I did get paid well

    Omnipage will do the trick.
