Need the Class Version of CSocket
G'day Guys & Gals
Well I've been using CSocket, a control which can be downloaded from
Anyway, I'm trying to install it on a Win 95 box, and I was getting errors when I tried to register it. So, I decieded to go for the class version of CSocket instead. I've been talking with this Catalyst Tech at the same time, and he points out this library of Classes, which costs around $250.
So I told him where to go, and now I'm in search of a Freeware Class Version of CSocket.
I've already seen a cheapo version thats available at ... VBAPI??
And thats only what some people have knocked up, so it won't work with the app that I've already made.
Thanks in Advance.

And your point is? The link I gave isn't to vbapi.
Does vbapi have the same class then? And if so whats the problem with it?
I don't know what 'what some people have knocked up' means? They got it pregnant? Have you actually tried this class? If so what specifically was the problem? Maybe we can help fix that because I don't think there are a lot of free winsock replacements out there. I've used this class before and it does everything the control does. I guess I'm confused.

Sorry I wasn't sure which place it was that I got it from. VBIP would be the place.
I tried to use it in my app and I couldn't get it going at all.
