Thread: getting the aim's password if stored

    my friend came to my house, and used my im, so by defult it saves it right? right, so I have his user name and password but the pass word is in stars (*) so how do I unblock it, I know I saw a program that did it, I acctually had the vb source for it, but I lost it somehow when I was re formating my hard drive 6 months ago after i had linux (a whole diffrent story)

    oh... and incase you want to get my ip address, I am going to it through aol which changes the im address every 30 minutes, so you dont really now my real ip

    I am using Personal Web Server to allow people to access stuff on a specified folder on my computer.

    go to
    c:\windows\options\cabs\pws

    if you have win98 then thats where you can install PWS.

    why would I want to get your IP??
    PWS stores a log file, but I dont know where it is.

    What's this c:\windows\options\... stuff I keep seeing around? I never had one on my system - the docs just say to get it off the CD.

    PS: Dennis - Apache is still better

    Here's a program that does it...

    I have the source on my computer, but I forgot where I downloaded it from.

    It just gets the registry string and performs a special conversion.
