IE always opens maximized?
sometimes the default window size of IE changes. How can I make it so it opens maximized?

open IE, maximize it, use file-quit/close to quit it (so not alt-f4 or the little x to the upper-right..)
repeat if neccesary

you have another option as well. right-click the icon where you usually open IE. under the "shortcut" tab, there should be a drop-down thing in the middle of the window, next to "run:" that allows you to choose which way you open the window.
*the thing is, that it only works for that shortcut and you have to do it for all of the ones you use separately. ie: the one on the desktop, quicklaunch, or start menu...all separate

but i run IE my hitting (windows key)+E then typing the address....
Tonnic's solution works
But why does it reset itself to some weird size every once in a while?

i'm guessing that you maybe resize a window and then close it..it goes unnoticed and later when you open it, it's in that resized window. if not...then sry.
umm...i'm not sure where, but if you look through some shortcuts or in the original place where ie is installed, it should say your shortcut key is "windows key" + E. i think that if you can change the way that one is opened, it'll work for you.
