Try Unistalling VB6, then have your Domain Administrator Login and Install VB6, or have him/her give you Adminstrative rights to your PC so you can install it, just to make sure the Installation has the right access to all the directories it requires.

Hi
After having created a new domain user, I loaded my Vb 6 a few days later I come to realise that at choosing 'Project' and then clicking on 'components' there is no list of registered activexes atall and I get this message : "sYSTEM ERROR &H80004002 [-2147467262]"
If I try to register the ocx from there it throws up the same error message upon clicking 'apply' or 'ok'. I thought some files were corrupted so I tried to reinstall the visual studio 6. After the installation when the the setup prgram tries to update my system it produces the following error message : "mscal.ocx was unable to register" etc.
I tried to install that ocx manually but get the following error messsage :"DLREGISTERSERVER IN C:WINN\SYSTEM32\MSCAL.OCX FAILED RETURN CODE 0X80004005"
does someone have any idea as to what might be wrong here?
Thanks for you help in advance.
regards
sultan
