"moving to a *faster* server?"
don't think so
Use
writing software in C++ is like driving rivets into steel beam with a toothpick.
writing haskell makes your life easier:
reverse (p (6*9)) where p x|x==0=""|True=chr (48+z): p y where (y,z)=divMod x 13
To throw away OOP for low level languages is myopia, to keep OOP is hyperopia. To throw away OOP for a high level language is insight.

Hmm, it does seem like the word 'faster' was a little strong. I'd possibly have choosen the words 'slow' and 'p1ssing'

I had a ZX Speccie with 48k - only 'cos I was a late entrant to the computer scene. The speccie was what I tought myself BASIC on . . . thought I was the bee's knees when I got a Amstrad CPC6128. That had a disk-drive and I learnt the art of using a hex editor and peeking and poking..... then used that machine to get into assembly.....which I'v totally forgotten!
The good old days....
