Connecting to a DSN
I'm importing some of my VB6 Database projects, and Ive been over MSDN, and can't find a straight forward. Before I just used the simple ADODC control and that provided everything I need. I tried adding the ADODC control to VB.NET but somehow I don't think that worked at all...
Thanks for any help.

Try using some of the Visual Data tools that .NET comes with... You can access them by going into server explorer and adding a new connection.

Thanks for the help I really appreciate it. I feel like such a newb. I am though so it works out ok... I got my 2nd license (monday) and all my books arrive on Tuesday. So I'll be able to start getting things done, and since these forums seem to be very active I'm sure I'll be posting lots and lots of questions.
Right now I'm on my final project once I can complete this then I can begin my employement status. I got about 2 to 3 months to complete this but here is a run down for anyone that will read this...
I hafta build a program that will work in ASP, but when a user visits a site using a some sort of form or util, an admin needs to be able to see what page ip address such and such is on, and all each page visited needs to be stored in a database. Now say after watching ip's visit such and such the admin may decide that this user needs to visit this page, at the push of a button, the app needs to force a pop up window on that user with the page selected. I'll hafta contact my supervisor, but he also wanted a simple chat utility integrated. I just bought a couple books on VB.Net database programming, as well as Asp.net and my next books is going to be something on active x.
Thanks again for the help!
