    MSDN April 2002

    does any one know how to link the MSDN April 2002 release to Visual Basic onlie Help (i mean when press <B>F1</B>?

    Red face what version is that...

    are u using VB 6...???

    what version of MSDN library is that I mean for what version of Visual Studio...

    If its for .NET then you can't use it in VS 6...

    ok,

    I have install VS 6.0 Ent and VS.NET on my PC. Now i have juz bought the MSDN April 2002 CDROM. After i install, my VS 6.0 can link to this new MSDN library.

    Any idea how to fix it? or the new MSDN does n ot support the VS 6.0.

    The last MSDN version that can act as the integrated help for VB6 is the october 2001 version. The later versions can only be used as the integrated help for VB.NET.

    if it's msdn library for VS.NET and I think thats what u have because I have the same problem and I can't use MSDN April 2002 for VB 6...

    Then i got to keep 2 stupid MSDN library on my PC. Yet get take me about 1GB+ for each argh.....

    Thumbs up hmmmm....

    As far as I understand VS.NET comes with the inbuilt help and u don't need to install it...

    Then why bother installing it and using the space...

    MSDN is far more complete and comprehensive than the built in help of vs.net.

    Also... the whole MSDN is available free from microsofts website. There's a way to link vb to use help from the internet when pressing f1 (like going to a page with the keyword that's selected), dont remember how i did it, though.

    That is ideal for those using T1/E1/ADSL connection. Juz think about if you're using 56K dialup connection...

    So, i rather use the CDROM since i can have a copy of it
