If you've done VB6 before, you might want to try VB.NET in a nutshell. It gives a quick 150-180 page overview of the changes in VB.NET, and things like Class Inheritence, Namespaces, and such that we didn't really have to worry about in VB6. The rest is a mildly useful language ref.

In that case, all i can say is to look on amazon.com...they have a lot of reader reviews of various vb.net books.

    Hi there,
I think Mastering VB.NET is a good stuff
to read. The author is Evangelos Petrotsous.

Since VB.net is still kinda new there isnt as many books as you might hope that are actually Good books. However, I have heard the books put out by Wrox Publications are very good from experienced programmers. I personally, got the VB.net BIBLE and its decent. It's mostly an overview and gets into detail about some stuff.

I have his Mastering VB6. Its alright. Seems simple to me now but he's a good author nonetheless

VB net professional is pretty good in the Wrox series, quite detailed tho, so don't get it as a beginners book unless you have programmed in another language.

I wouldn't recommend the SAMS book Programmer's guide to the .Net Framework.
