Stealing from TurtleTips
Notwithstanding his devastating social problems ( ), Filburt did do a few pretty clever things at TurtleTips. I think VBForums - or 209.120.143.185, to give it its new, snappy title - should steal a few of them. For example, the "Local time for this user" display struck me as a very good idea.
Go on - you know you want to.
*Sits back and waits for Wally to start whining that someone mentioned TT*

Can we have a larger selection of smileys? I was quite impressed by the ones on www.nxsupport.com.

Local Time, Quick Reply, and some others are hacks which require editing the PHP code which I don't think Karl wanted to do. The new quote tag and stuff like that though is just a new vB Code which anybody can do.

Well, I hope he changes his mind because that was a good idea, and it's been proven to work.
What's the new quote tag thing all about?

The new quote tag originated from http://www.vbulletin.org/ ...the only thing he has to do to implement it is to play in the admin CP with the custom vB codes.

It took me two freakin' hours just to add them to a test board; if Karl wants to implement them then I can give him a database dump to make the task go faster.

Those are custom ones for http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/ ...check out the footer there for a link of where they got them. The default ones are the ones we have now, only all yellow like at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/misc....on=showsmilies
