Learning and Comparing various Hardware
Just recently, I've been asked to become computer hardware advisor. I, being a software consultant for most of my life, have virtually no knowledge in computer hardware. Is there any site that compares various brands of printers, scanners, multifunction machines, etc. I'm more concered with inter-comparsion (comparison between different companies e.g. Cannon vs. HP) rather than intra-comparison (comparison between 2 products from the same company e.g. PhotoSmart 1315 vs. Photosmart 1215).
Thanks.

Hi megatron,
This is alright but wont give you a full results unless you join up with them. It's free to join though!

Personally i like to do my own. I persume this is a comparison for a recommendation for purchase or to an Auditor?
What i do is go to each manufacturers web site get the specs of the printers i need. Setup a table and enter the needed info.
That coupled with a summary of a few independent articles from the web will make a good comparison and make you selection easier.
Any other q's i'd be glad to help!

theres good comparisons on PCPro.co.uk, although they are mainly for specific products they always have a wide range of suppliers, and cover most computer based products
