It was probably something entered into a database as a timestamp.

We know? That's why scoutt said don't use it. Because he's a bad programmer and cant stand to type a few extra lines just to format a data type, even though that data type is cooler. Poor scoutt.

you have it all wrong. the idea is to code in the less lines as you can. that is why php is so good.
