Brain burp - what is this called?
At my last job, I had this nifty thing that allowed me to connect 2 boxes to one monitor/keyboard/mouse. I wanna price them and see how feasible it is to get one. I googled "switch box" but it seemed to be too general and brought up all sorts of different switches. Anyone know the proper term for this device?
Thanks.

KVM Switch - Keyboard, Video, Mouse - and you can get cheap 2 port ones from companies like Linksys, or fancy expandable ones from companines like Black Box. I have a Linksys one at home I paid about US$60-70 for that switches between two computers.

Get these: Mozilla Opera OpenBSD
I have books for sale: "MCSD in a Nutshell" and "VB Distributed Exam Cram" - PM me for details. Will also trade for a decent ATX Pentium 2 MB/CPU/RAM combo.

Yeah, the Linksys works fine for what I need a home - when you buy one, get a kit that includes all the cables that you need.
Basically, you need to how many ports you need - for home use, you probably don't want to be able to extend a 16-workstation switch into a monitor in another room or daisy chain 128 devices. You might want to look at ones that have USB or Audio switching in them, if you want that.
