need notebook monitor
Hey. I have got an MBI notebook (an ULTRA N30W). The monitor is broken. I was wondering if anyone had any idea where I could get a replacement. Maybe directly from MBI or if you know someone personally. I might even consider buying an old notebook even if it doesn't work, but with a working monitor. Thanks for the help.

I take it you mean the monitor (LCD screen on the notebook?) is broken beyond repair. In which case contact the manufacturer, and they should have a list of registered dealers and service centres in you area. Find one you like, take the notebook into them, and get a quote on the replacement cost..... If too expensive try ebay or your local hardware store for a second hand replacement (sometimes a lot cheaper).

yea...the lcd screen is messed up beyond repair. let's just say, it took a pretty big fall and the plasma thingy inside is shattered. but thanks for the tip though. the prob is, that i hear that mbi is out of business.

If you're laptop has a monitor port thingie you could buy a regular monitor and use your laptop as a desktop.

the thing is..i still need this one to be portable, so i can't use it as a desktop. (although i did use that method to get the files off the computer in case i couldn't fix it)
