    Hey all.

I just wonder what possible reasons there are that the pc in my office is not playing the midi music and the wav files at the same time in a game i wrote.

This program works just fine at home and also in a friend's computer. Both PC's have SoundBlaster cards.

If it makes a difference, the Midi is DirectMusic while the wav's use the usual sndPlaySound Function and winmm.dll

    Any ideas or suggestions?

    Question my 2penniesworth...

I have never tried this, but remember from one of my tutorial CD's that VB won't play 2 sounds together, it will just wait for 1 to stop then another to kick in.

Until someone else posts & tells me this cd is wrong (which I fully expect), this could be the reason.

    right. it's possible.

but the sound card here is SB Vibra PCI 128

The one at home is SB Live

I just think that 2 soundblaster cards should both have this ability.
