My hard drive thought it would be funny to damage some of the files for VB. When I went to reinstall VB from my copy I found that my CD was scratched bad enough where it was unusable. So I go to use a copy of VS 6 enterprise from a friend of mine (Which who knows where he got his copy from) and I get the error during install that it could not load file rvbrewiz.dll. That could be due to the fact that it is missing all together from his copy. After searching long and hard I can't seem to find a copy of that .dll. Could someone be kind enough to send me one. [email protected]
Thanks

Just do a find on the Drive holding the disk...if it's needed it should be on the disk. It must be partial to
vs 6 cause I don't have in on VB6

I did that already, it's not, the copy he has is not an orginal. I have searched every PC, every newsgroup, every Internet site, every FTP site, I can think of, but I can't find it. Thats why I am hoping someone with VS can help me out

I have two VBs right now (VB4 and VB5 (VB6 coming soon ))
VB4 crashed on me once and I couldn't load it so I decided to reinstall it.
For VB4, I can click Start > Settings > Control Panels > Add/Remove Programs > Visual Basic 4.0 and then the uninstall screen comes up and I have three choices:
A[/i]dd/Remove...
Reinstall
Remove All
I just click Reinstall, it does it's thing without the CD needed, and everything works fine again. Doesn't VS 6EE have this option as well?

Tried that before starting down this road. In an attempt to fix it I uninstalled VB though, so now I am in real bad shape. I have no VB at all, and I can't reinstall it. Oh well live and learn I guess.

Suggestion(s):
Either get another copy or ask to borrow it from your friend just to install it.
Becareful not to scratch CD's next time!
Buy VS 6 EE..try http://www.ebay.com .

I checked my hardisk and could not find that file, which could be due to the fact that I have VB5.
Have you tried completely removing VB and reinstalling it? I had a similar problem about a year ago (some files were missing) and this, for whatever reason, cleared things up.
