    [Resolved] KaZaA Lite Question

I'm a little stuck here. Whenever I startup my computer, reboot, login, etc, KaZaA starts up. So I go into the Options and the "Start Automatically" or whatever box ISN'T checked. Hmm... I go into MSConfig and remove it from the startup profile. Still starts up. I check the Startup folder...nope.

How is it starting up? Why is it starting up? Anyone else have/had this problem?

Try uninstalling Kazaa and Kazaa Lite, running Ad-Aware to completely kill it, and then delete all references to Kazaa in the registry. Then reinstall Kazaa Lite. Should do it, although I don't have that startup problem...

Usually when I a program has an "Automatically Start" option and an ability to shut it off, I'd expect it to work. I don't see how a program can just start if it's not in any .ini's, not in the registry, and not in the startup folder?

Its probably being started in the registry, run regedit and look under:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICORSOFT>WINDOWS>
    CURRENT VERSION

and check under RUN and RUNONCE

    I already did.

I went with half of filburts advice. Just uninstalled and then reinstalled and it stopped doing it.

That'll do the trick! I hate it when all kinds of applications run on startup. I always try to edit what startsup so I have more ram and system resources.
