    Any idea why vc++ crashes while compling atl com

    I'm on win98 and I haven't installed c++ service packs.
    VC++ 6.0 crashes while compling atl project, all stops on vcspawn in dos mode creating an exception fault. Any idea for quick fix of this problem, other than moving to a different OS?
