    DirectX problems

    Every now and again (usually after about 5 minutes), the colours of a game that i'm playing get mucked up. Makes the game look like i've been taking drugs. I wondered if anyone else has had this problem, and know how to fix it.

    F.Y.I. I am using DX 8.1

    Do they reset after a while? If not, I think I know what it is. Disable anti-virus software and the like; they'll take the focus of the game and the colours will be screwed up (happened on my old savage, now only the sound goes away).

    Be aware if you are connected to the internet at the time. If any part of the game is acting as a server, you'll have a security hole.
