    Post Into programming... (Please look!)

-It would have been interesting to hear how you got into programming? Do you work as a programmer, or is it just a hobby of yours!? Which language do you use except Vb (if any)

-Myself began programming Vb a year ago, because I wanted a new challenge. I am only 16, so I can`t say I am doing it as a profession. I haven`t been into so many languages, but I am thinking of trying C++...

    -Please post!

Some one once showed me a little bit of Qbasic programming and I just liked that so much I started to do more thing in QB. And after a year or 3 programming in QB I really wanted to make some progs for Windows and stept over to VB, I got some books about VB and here I am, making mp3-players.

btw, I started when I was 10, and I'm 16 now, so the age of 16 would not be a problem, in fact a lot of the ppl on this forum are below 18 so no worries there.

I was threatened at gunpoint by some nutcase wearing a Dan Aykroyd mask. He's still standing there with the gun pointed to my head, though I dare not turn around.

I think he's dead, from the smell emanating from his body, but he's still standing, so that still qualifies as me being under gunpoint.

If you happen to come by sometime, do come over here and give him a little nudge so that he falls over and I can have my freedom.

That's not a Dan Aykroyd mask. That's Richard Nixon and, yes, he's dead. You can clock out and collect your pay check now.

-Actually I am making a MP3-player too. But I have problems with the progress-bar for the songs. I want it to jump to the exact location you are clicking with the mouse, so that I can skip boring beginnings of some of the songs. Do you know how to do that?!

I tinkered w/it as a child (6) on my Tandy TRS80... mainly just retyping codelistings from a book I had. The one that sticks out in my mind the most was a Russian Roulet game, basicly a random number generator... but that was back before hard drives could fit in a livingroom and were cheaper than cars so I had the old cassette tape storage... which was not very stable (imagine having to write a game every time you wanted to play it), so I lost interest quick and never touched another computer till about 6 years ago. Being poor I always had other peoples garbage for computers and tought myself how to rebuild, repair, and upgrade on my own... just kept going from there till I got into web design, then into programming and am now employed as a web developer.
thats my story and i'm sticking to it

I'm off to GalahTech, hope to see you there.

First, I have a tip for u, don't use MS's standard scrollbar it's so very ugly. Use the one attached.
Second, what method for playing the mp3's do you use?
