Not really VB... Delphi for Linux?

Even though Inprise is advertising it as "VB for Linux", and we know that MS will probably never create a version of VB for any other OS.

I remember working with some MS tech support people back when VB 3.0 had been out a year or so, and they mentioned that VB for the Mac was going to be in beta test soon. Later, a call to another MS rep resulted in strong denials that they were even working on anything of the sort. Oh well...

I really liked Delphi when I used it (a couple of versions ago), and was just wondering if any one here is beta testing the Linux version or knows much about it. A tool like that will really boost the Linux development world.

There is VB for the Mac...VBA in Office 98 (at least).

I think he means a version of Vb that can create Executable Files.

No Microsoft ain't gonna port vb to either linux or Mac.

The Delphi port should almost be there, am waiting for it's release to review.

Contact progress http://www.progress.com, they have a port to linux already for Progress v9.1.

Hunt around the net there are at least two versions of graphically basics for the mac, (free to good homes).

And a few for linux.
