Same here... we have a 10MB/sec connection to the internet (working for a big company has some benefits!), and at times I can't get through to this site... all pages time out for 5-10 minutes, yet other sites work fine

128k dialup isdn here and all other sites work okay.
And as definite proof, for the vbforums I put on a web-based e-mail address as my e-mail addy.
So I get the auto-notification, then try to click on the link, and nothing happens

Just a few minutes ago there I could not get onto any vbf pages.
I got a few auto-notifications in my webmail, and then I tried to view the threads but nothing was happening.
And as proof, I could ping www.vbforums.com and was getting good response times.
Here also are two traceroutes that worked while I could not view pages ;

Ditto.
Seems to be momentarily awake now, but for a while there
I'd click a thread, watch the progress bar go a third up, stall, and go nowhere after that, until I clicked the link a second time.

Peeps having problems with VBF.
A thread was started in chit-chat by SLH about this, with a link to here.
I dunno about any of you, but when I type in www.vbforums.com to my address bar, it turns into "209.120.143.185", which is not the IP of the forums.
So that appears everywhere "www.vbforums.com" should.
Here's a totaly different trace to that site :

I got problems too. Many times the forum pages do not load, today especially so. Replies have to be retyped sometimes, as clicking Submit Reply lands me on some error page. Also the database is inaccessible once in a while.

Well ...
Again they are painfully annoying to navigate, pages taking ages to load, posts appearing one by one, and in between the process just gets stuck somewhere, as if not being able to decide if it should abort the download or continue with it
At least you people shoulda told us to expect problems if you were gonna fiddle around!!
