    Hyperterminal

My vb program doesn't give me any info so
I'm trying to get callerid info with hyperterminal as a test.

    I use the "AT" commands:

    ATZ
    says,"OK"
    AT+VCID=1
    says,"OK"

    When someone calls:

    RING

    RING

    RING

    RING

I have an Aztech MDP3880-W modem with the latest drivers.

Is this modem not callerid ready??

    Thanx
    Grandpa

I don't know much about your modem or the AT command you're using.... but I think youknow that you have CallerID service at your place. I mean.... if you don't pay for the service to your telephone company, you won't be able to retrieve its number.
