changing colors of <select> arrows
i know i've done this before but now I can't find the example.
i would like to change the colors of the arrow in my select menu much like this site has the purple scroll bar and arrows.(in IE of course)
any suggestion are appreciated

you cant. the select dropdown boxes are made by your OS and not the browser thus you can only change certain attributes such as the background color, font color, etc.

the select menus are made by the OS?
is it the only form element that is created by the OS?

hmm.....
i swear i've seen this done before....
i do know that these select boxs take precedent as far as order of layers. they are always on top.
