    802.11b signal strength dealie

The drivers for the crusty Wifi card I use at work doesn't have a strength meter. What's one I can download?

The only thing I could find for that card was a program called WaveMANAGER/Client with Site Monitor...
The Microsoft Windows-based WaveMANAGER/Client tool is installed in a portable laptop with a WaveLAN PC card. Site Monitor can visually show all the Access Points within reach of the mobile station. It shows the quality of the links between the mobile station and each of the Access Points. A log function is provided to make monitoring over a longer period of time more convenient.
Im not sure if you already have it, but the site says you can download it for free from the wavelan site if you are an existing customer. What OS are you running, I know XP has built in wireless functionality with a native strength signal meter. Good luck.

that site does suck. I couldn't find the software anywhere, I will keep looking. Im not sure that is even what you are looking for, it doesnt display the strength meter in the taskbar (which is what you would like, I'm assuming), you have to run the program. too bad that card doesn't seem to have any decent utilities that ship with it.
