By the whim of John...his realm is http://www.vbulletin.com/ and [email protected]
You'll probably have had to been here for years first though and he hasn't gotten new mods in at least a year.

First, you have to fix the vbcode tags so that everyone is absolutely delighted and happy. Then correct the slow down times that create vacant and multiple posts. Then make sure everyone gets along with even the most hated person. Find a way to ensure that subjects are always meaningful and that a search will always return exactly the information you are looking for. Run trough the maze. Grab the gold ring. Sing at least five ABBA songs from memory (or an 80s group of our choice).
Or maybe, just find a way for members to stop posting crap posts like this for legitimate questions like yours.
Skating away…haha

I do believe karl would be a better person nowadays maybe!
And luke mods/admins were onyl introduced about 6 months ago after 3-4 years of not having any so it may take a while for any new ones.

I think he does this depending on your merit on the forums. Basically, Megatron, Serge, Martin, and (Aaron Young - if he actually agreed to it) showed high merit on the forums. They answered questions honestly and does not post useless, immature things like most of us. The admins (excluding James) usually have high skills, are mature, and are to-the-point reliable. After all, John couldn't have people like parksie going around posting sticky *improper* material, wrongly edit posts, delete proper threads for fun or to satisfy a biased view, or worse...I *guess* if you act well on the foums and help many people then he just might make you an admin.
Again, I would have no way of knowing, so don't really rely on my answers.

Also, make sure your signature is not something like:
VB Code:
On Error Goto Hell
Dim Mood As Variant
Dim Member As Long
Dim Bed As Double
Dim Intentions As Date
Dim Woman As Object
Dim Me As Single
Dim TequilaShot As Double

I still say a stack of 50's would win you the title.

I think that a Mod should be someone who has a high rate of VBSquare time logged. You could be the best programmer and the most mature but if you are never logged on then what good are you. The mice are always at play whaile the cat is away.
