hi. I've just ordered sams teach yourself Visual C++ 6 in 21 Days, but i gotta wait 3-5 weeks while it is ordered by amazon.co.uk. Anyway, i was wondering if anyone knew where i could possibly get the book in HTML or PDF format so i can get stuck in.
U see, i start back at school in 2 weeks, so i really would like to start now in stead of waiting 3-5 weeks.
Anyway, if anyone knows where i can get it from, id appreciate it. Thanks.

I have Teach Yourself Visual C++ In 21 Days in PDF format (about 5 Megs!) but I'm pretty sure it's illegal for me to send it to you. But what I will tell you is that it's worth the wait.
Basically it's organized into 3 sections (weeks), which divide into sub-sections (days). Each chapter is supposed to be completed in intervals of days, but if you're anxious and can't wait, you can probably squeeze about 3 chapters in a day.

If I am not mistaken, it is illegal for you to own that Period.
unless you paid the company for a PDF file.. or something.

Of course I paid for it. It, along with 3 other books were part of a C++ programming kit.

Damn :(
The ITKNowledge web site requires you to be a registered user before you can read past chapter one or two, so it doesn't really work. Bah
Why must publishers charge such rediculous prices for books anyway, I mean, i am only 16. I dont have a job, and I would like to buy reference books about programming so i can learn, yet a decent book costs around £30 to £40?!?!? Bah.

I know, I just found that out when I was looking for other books after I posted. Those bastards!! I guess the next best place would to go to www.ebay.com. You can get some good books there for just a few dollars.

Dennis: Yep! That's exactly what I have! (version 3). It's shipped with Game Sages, as you mentioned and it has 3 books in PDF format. Visual C++ in 21 Days, C++ Unleashed and Using Visual C++ 6 Special Edition. (version 4 has a book on DirectX)

Does anyone know how much this all costs? I think I'd probably benefit from a copy.
