Yes there are commercial games that were made with VB and DirectX. Unfortunately I have lost the link for it though.

You have no proof though. Mr Sherlock Holmes would find that most suspicious, Mr Tron
    Courgettes.

I would think there would only be a few commercial vb games but most of those would be like solitare and freecell, Most games are made in the faster language C++

    SubSpace: The Captain's Chair

I'm not much for space sims but the game SubSpace: The Captain's Chair is made with VB5 and DirectDraw functions of DirectX. This game doesn't require a lot of CPU power mainly because it's a very simple game (graphicswise). To my opinion it is a very crappy game, however the engine could have implemented massively multiplayer functions on it to make it more popular.

    Arrow vb games

Yes there are many games made with Visual basic. Right now, the only one I can think of is Westwood's C&C2 - Tiberian Sun. It uses the VB6 runtimes and therefore must be made in VB6. Actually, I am also making a game in Visual Basic. It's called Tank Attack and is going to use my new 3D graphics/VR engine that i'm making called I3D; Intergrated 3D. Look at the newer posts in this section to find more on I3D.

... I'm really, really sure that C&C3 isn't done in VB! Maybe that they did the menu program in VB or something, but the game is done in C/C++ for sure!

I'm not sure, but it is pretty logical that c&c uses vb, but nothing is sure...
Have each of you thought about sending an E-Mail to westwood concerning about this???

I also think that Diablo/Diablo2 is on VB, well, at least a part of it.

In my opinion this is the best site for VB games: VB Gaming Central.
