Thread: Unreconizable DataBase FOrmat? i'm using Access Database Please help!

    Question

    hey there!
    I have a problem....
    I'm trying to make a Address book that stores well Info about the person, and the problem is,
    I made a Database with Access 2000 and its name is "INFO" and i added that data control, i clicked Recordsorce
    after i clicked DBName ans what not, and IT says Unreconizable DATABASE FORMAT(C:/"") Why does it say that?
    and how can i fix it? Any help would be great!
    Thanks for Listening and i added the reference AD0 3.6

    Have you got service pack 3 or 4 installed.
    If not you can download service pack 4 from the microsoft website. This should fix the problem

    Post I have no clue what Kinda service pack i have...how can i check?

    hello, i have no clue what sevice pack i have, i have Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise edition....
    hwo can i check witch service package i have?
    and if i have 3 how many megs is pack 4? thanks for replying

    Angry I cna't download

    When i click on the download, for VB it says Page not found and its FACKING MIcrosoft, damnit all heh

    You also need to ensure that you have the correct MDAC installed (I don't have use Access 2000 so I can't tell you what it is...)

    Regular datacontrol won't work with Access2000. You have to use ADO datacontrol.

    There is no ADO 3.6. Are you using DAO by chance? (as opposed to ADO)
