    I particularly love the part about: "What can you do to improve
    your performance?"

    Last year I put down "Stop mis-spelling MicroSoft". This year, the
    SOB asked me if I was successful, if so how could I prove it. My
    3% raise was on the line.

    I showed him:

    Code:
    Function BuildConnectionString(FilePath_Name As String, _
                                   Optional strVersion As String) As String
    'So I dont have to remember how to spell MicroSoft again

       Dim Result As String, strTemp As String

       Result = ""
       strTemp = strVersion
       If strTemp = "" Then strTemp = "4.0"
       Result = "Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB." & strTemp & ";Data Source=" & FilePath_Name

    Xit_BuildConnectionString:
        BuildConnectionString = Result
    End Function
    Reviewer was so impressed that the raise went from 3% to 6%.

    Only once, and it was for a contract that I hated anyway, but they put it a bit more polietly
