Good question!
Amazingly good question!
Fresh article postings on VB-World have temporarily frozen due due to the transfer of the network and the creation of the new system.
However as soon as we go live with the new-look, new-features site (very shortly!), everything will be back to normal and then some
We're also looking to take on board a fresh crew of writers, currently being organised by Jenny Lace - if you're interested in a position, mail her at [email protected]
Take care,

Forgive me for being sceptical, but all I've ever seen is this site go downhill.
I can't see it improving just because of new ownership.

Thank you!
Thanks for all your support.
I understand that after such a period without fresh content may seem disheartening -- I agree! -- however it will get much better.
Unfortunately my own company, White Cliff, have been particularly busy of late and therefore development work on the site has slowed down a little.
However it's currently top priority and there are only a few extra features left to add before we go live. The latest? July 31st. But between us <looks side to side> probably a little earlier.
There will be a few big changes and I don't expect everyone to be raving. It's difficult to please everyone. However rest assured that a lot of elbow grease has gone into the whole site and I'm looking forward to getting out the final product.
So, there we go... and.... <HUGE GROUP HUG!>

By the way...
By the way... the forums won't change.
There has been quite a bit of debate about that, internally and on the moderators board -- however the decision has been made to keep the forums running using vBulletin.
We've just got to find a host big enough to handle us...

Hell no.
Everything will stay the same. No change here, except the About.com popups will be scrapped.

Hehe!
Post race? Wahoo! What fun!
I agree about the forums. I'm not wholly aware of Turtle Tips (who?!), however we'll do our best to revamp the whole network over the coming months. Promise.
And thanks for the Welsh kiss. Love the land. Especially Snowdonia. I've spent many a pleasant night around Cardigan Bay and actually on the mountain...
Ahhhh. But, the code window calls...

It is fun, although the moral tone tends to be a little lower than usual sometimes But I don't think that there's anything there that you can't handle I'm glad you liked the kiss, feel free to ask for another one anytime, but don't tell anyone else, it's only for you, cos you're special Snowdonia is beautiful isn't it! I love it up there Been down south? I live in Llanelli, in the south. It's a cool place
Turtle Tips is another forum, and since vbf has started having little problems, people are spending more time there than here.
One thing to everyone else, especially to those who have been whinging about post race not working, switch of sigs, because most people have an image or two in their sigs, and it really slows things down, since I've done that, I'm having a lot less problems
Anyway guys, I'm off for tonight, I'll probably be on tomorow when I'm not revising. Nos da all *mwah*

Ahh, thank you for the smooch Karlos *blushes*
I'll say one thing my friend, this place is addictive. If you do a search for some of my posts, you'll probably notice that I've said good night 3 or 4 times in one night, and yet I'll be posting for hours later. Just like I'm doing now, lol.
I'd like to compliment you on your tutorial on arrays too, it's brilliant! My computing teacher tried to explain arrays to me, but he's hopeless at VB, thats when I first discovered VBW

Well, that's awfully kind of you. I try to make those tutorials as user-friendly as possible. I've just written a book on .NET (Karl Moore's Visual Basic .NET: The Tutorials) which hopefully maintains the same user-friendly style using all the new technologies.
Anyway, lookout for more of the same coming with the new network!
And RE how addictive posting can get... well, I'm learning ;>

Because my tutorials thread was made sticky.
I saw this as progress.
Also, I couldn't just leave the thread there.
I'd have to keep updating it if it was sticky.
Thus the reason, among others that I came back.
But well, ya know, that and I didn't mean the vast majority of the things I said and am sorry about it all and didn't mean any of it as a personal attack.
It was all just an angry outburst stemming from a whole heap of things, not just TT.
I don't like the whole tt stuff, and I still think filburt1 looks like a poof, but well most of it was OTT.
Anyway as I have a three hour comms exam in about 2 hours time, and have to cover about a year's worth of material in under and hour, I'll not have time to discuss it.
Hey Jamie, I'm glad you've come around now, you had me worried Good luck in your exam. E-mail me sometime cariad, I've missed you *hugs* Don't wory about the exam, you'll do fine, I know you will. Pob lwc

Yeah went grand.
As usual they changed the format of the paper for my class.
They've been doing that since we started the course.
Anyway yeah went fine.
Now have Information Management on monday, which I hate the most.
Buggery-********!
And you e-mail me.
I can never be counted on initiating any sort of meaningful discourse
By the way, what do you think of my tutorials ?
They're sticky at the top of general vb questions
