I saw Episode I again today... it is unbelievable how bad it was and the new movie seems so much better to me now after I saw that again!!

I agree. Again, it's just the discomfort for having to sit there for that long and having people around me talking the whole time that keeps me away.

But I do have good surround. I've got a set of Klipsch Heresy speakers for my mains, a set of Bose surrounds, a really nice Yamaha amp and a couple more sets of Infinity speakers to put sound in another room if I want.

The only thing I'm lacking is a big screen, but big screen tv's have lousy pictures unless you sit far away at which point what's the point?

Maybe when projectors come down in price some I'll install one in my ceiling and all I'll need is a pretty teenage girl to make me popcorn.

Well, I just got back from seeing it...

That was quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. Too much CGI, hokey stunts, horrible acting, too many failed attempts at humor. I didn't like it.

there was NOT FUNNY humor all the time... this time it wasn't to bad.. what was bad in my eyes was the action reminding of Super Mario games

Welp i just saw it today. I agree with the disgusting humor. That whole C3PO thing where he lost his head was just sickining. Why can't people tell when something is just corny and doesn't fit? What was george lucas thinking? I don;t go to see star wars to Laugh, i go to see a kick a*s movie.

I have nothing against a well placed funny coment like the one where anikan says "we came to save you" and Obe wan says "Good job" as they are being chained up, that was fairly humuros, but things like C3PO saying "this is a drag" as R2D2 is dragging is head across the ground was just extremely lame and ruined the movie for me.


I Also agree about the horrible CGI effects, i mean Jar Jar and Yoda looked ok but everything other CGI Character or scene was VERY obvious and odd looking.

PLUS the whole story was very boring, almost like watching C-Span.... i don;t give a crap about politics... i want to see light sabers and Storm troopers.

BUT Luckily there were some good fight scenes in this movie.. Obe Wan VS Bobba Fetts Dad was cool. That whole battle at the end with yoda and Obe Wan and Anikan And Count Dookoo was really cool.

Made it worth seeing the movie.


Plus i liked how you could see Anikan changing and slowly turning to the dark side and his reasons for it.

about the CGI... the most horrible thing were those animals... especially those fat round ones on naboo. They seemed to have no gravity that was so sucky!
