We are getting a puppy this afternoon (female, chocolate lab, 7 weeks old, named Symphony) and my son, Ian, is in Grease at the local theater so I'll check that out!

We had our first chocolate for 12 years but she had a stroke. It took me over a year to recover but now I'm really looking forward to having a puppy again!

We are redoing our bathroom and kitchen...
no major reconstruction, just a facelift. paint, window treatment, patching hols, new floor tiles.
The hard part is that our building (condos) are very old, and everything we take out, we end up having to work around the fact that we can no longer buy things to replace them.
We took out our medicine cabinet and we've had a hold in the wall for about four months trying to find something to
1. Fit in the hole (so such luck)
2. Fit into a slightly bigger hole (ordered a new piece and later found out that there are pipes preventing us from making hold bigger)
and 3. Plug up hole with drywall (I've learned that I"m not good with drywall) and throw an external med. cab. on it.
ARGH.
It looks good now, but it's very frustrating.

After doing a lot of research and talking to a lot of "dog" people, I decided the right dog for me is an Australian Cattle dog. Unfortunately, my fascist landlord wants a $400 pet deposit. My lease is up in a few months. I'm moving to somewhere that is reasonable.

I agree. Dogs are cool. And labs are gorgeous, we've always had black labs (Buffy is the first non-lab!).
Here's something to keep you going till you pick up sympthony (cool name).

This is Alexandria, the last dog I had. She was abandoned by my girlfriend when I was in Egypt and I have no idea what became of her (the puppy, don't care what became of g/f). Last time I ever date a Canadian.

Yep.... she was about 4 months old in that picture. She was a great dog, but weird around kids. Like they say... Chows, Pit Bulls, Rotties, etc. are all great dogs until something happens that they don't like.
Alex didn't like it when kids ran around. She got really scary, so I would put her inside if kids were in the yard.

OK, so now I have to decide how I want to look for my interview.
Here are the choices:
a) The guy from Juraissic Park - Fat and slovenly with pizza grease on my shirt. Obviously spends a great deal of time sitting in front of a computer and therefore, must be a computer guru.
b) The guy from Clear and Present danger - professional, yuppie look and can crack an encrypted file by guessing the password in less than five attempts.
c) The guy from Jackel who made the gun for Bruce Willis - psycho genius look.
Other suggestions are also welcome.

The cat-a-pult is coming along great. We can now get the felnes into a low orbit for about half a revolution of the planet, so as you can imaging we're having some difficulty retrieving the test "pilots". I'm not convinved by this theory that cats always land on their feet. As far as I can surmise, most of them actually burn up on re-entry.
Consequently we are experiencing a bit of a shortage of "volunteers".

Which settles first, the ashes that were their feet or the ashes that were their body?

I have one for you as well, SD. One of the local kitties decided the hood of my car was it's personal litter box. He's lucky I don't know which cat he is.

Be safe, send them all up here.
As for foreign "volunteers", we are a non-discriminatory organisation. Stick them in a big crate and send them up.
Cheers,

OK, then I need to get to the pet store before they close today. I'm going to put mice on a fishing line and catch them that way.

Intersting that you didn't mention not having a scarecrow, a tin man and a lion. I take it then, that you already have these.
Okay, how about going as Roger Ram Jet.

Or.... I could send you the schematics of the cat-a-pult and then you could just fire them up here to Canada.
Cheers,

or onto the hood of my car. Honestly, I wouldn't hurt the cat, but if I couldn't find the owner, the cat would have a long way to travel to find its way back to this neighborhood.
