I'm going crazy, please help!!!!

From VB I insert the date: 07-08-2000

And Access gives me 08-07-2000 brrrrrrrr!!!!!! >

From VB I format the date like Format(date,"dd-mm-yyyy")
In Access the field is formatted the same and so are the regional settings of my computer/Server.

Please have you noticed this?
