Fatal Error Running Crystal Reports

I have several Crystal Reports in a VB Program which have been running perfectly until recently.
For no apparent reason when any of the reports are run from the VB Program a fatal error occurs.
As soon as the code: CR1.PrintReport executes, the infamous Microsoft fatal error occurs that reads:
"This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down"

HELP !!!!!
