Dll component created from VB or IIS?

I have an ActiveX dll component that I use in a VB app (created using the New keyword), and in an ASP web page (created using CreateObject). Is there any way to tell from within the component itself how it was created?

For example, I'd like to have in the component's initialization sub, something like this

sub Class_Initialize()
  blnFromWeb = LoadedFromWeb()
  if blnLoadedFromWeb then
    'do something
  else
    'do something else
  end if
end sub

function LoadedFromWeb() as boolean
  'I don't know what to do here...
end function
