3 pin power led connector from the case, 2 pins on the mobo
Hey, it's been a while since A+ so don't laugh, but I ordered me a new mobo and processor and case . . . The case power led connector has three slots for pins with + nothing - , while the mobo has only two pins for the power led, + -. I decided to take a look at another pc that I ordered prebuilt and it was exactly the same setup and what they did was cut the three pin connector from the case in half to set the + with the + and the - with the -.
Is this really necessary, can I get away with connecting just the +, and refresh my memory as to why this discrepancy exists.
