A leading entomologist has warned of a summer Funnel-web spider outbreak following a recent incident involving a young girl.

The girl, Tanya Muffet, was reportedly sitting in a secluded tuffet enjoying a meal when a large spider proceeded to sit down beisde her. Apparently the spider was attracted to her meal of curds and whey and authorities are warning parents to ensure this popular snack is only consumed in the relative safety of the home for the duration of the outbreak.
