Does anyone know how I can access the api to retrieve the processor utilization????

Well I was looking on the microsoft website and they put performance monitoring inside the registry. I suck at the registry so any help would be great. the key I want is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\PerfStats\Enum\KERNEL\CPUUsage

I need to get the CPUusage. Please can anyone help me with the code to do that?
