I realized this after watching the Simpsons episode where Lisa becomes a vegetarian. In that episode, Lisa visits a petting zoo and practically falls in love with a lamb. Later, that night, Marge serves lamb chops, much to Lisa's disgust. Throughout most of the show, she tries everything she can to stop people from eating meat. After much usual Simpsons plot, towards the end of the show, somebody (darn it, I forgot who) told her that you should simply accept other people's viewpoints, rather than force your own upon them.

I was thinking about this, and realized that nearly all of us are like Lisa. We all try to force others to think our way. Take, for example, the recent Windows XP love/hate thread. I liked Windows XP, Justin hated it. Yet each of us tried to make the other think our way.

Have you noticed this too?
