Successful imaging of Windows 7 machine?
Hi,
I have seen and used virtual machines of Vista and Windows 7 but if I try to create one (in my case Windows 7) the recording gets to 98% then fails with this message
P2V conversion using VMware Converter fails with the error: Unable to find the system volume, reconfiguration is not possible (1037507)
I ran command prompt from the root admin account then dragged "bcdedit" into command prompt to execute it then followed the first set of instructions.
I am wanting create a virtual machine of my current desktop setup which has problems so I can solve those problems myself. Yes, I know if I reinstall the operating system afresh it will problem fix all the problems with the operating system but I will not find out why the problems occurred and how to resolve them.
Thanks,
Nightwalker
