I have used CR for years and am very proficient in it. The only reason that I am back at the drawing board with reporting is that every time a new VS comes out, I have to wait for the new CR to come out for it.
All of the reporting that I am currently doing in this office is SQL Server data. When I upgraded this server last year, I installed SQL Server 2012 Express with Advanced options so that I could have SSRS.
I understand that the SSRS plugin for VS2013 is still in the works just like the one for CR for VS2013 is. I have some reports that I need to create and some that I need to modify. I am trying to find out the best solution for now and the future.
Should I move over to RDLC and just run the reports from the client just like I do now with CR? Should I wait for the new CR integration to come out? Should I wait for SSRS to come out?
If I start today with RDLC, can I not later import those directly into SSRS when the integration comes out?
<<Sorry not overly versed in SSRS or RDLC at this point.>>
