Hi
I have just written a small app to return the IP address of an input
host name ( from a book admittedly) I would like to also ping this
returned IP address, is there an api to do this or should I shell
to the winnt ping.exe to achive this. If the latter of the two how
do I go about passing the IP address ( as a variable ) to the ping.exe

Code would be helpful


PS how do you guys insert code into your replys in them condensed
grey boxes ( is there a secret method ?)
