Cable Network Problem
This problem is unrelated to VB but thought someone could help:
I recently setup a LAN between two PCs using ethernet cards. The LAN was working correctly with file and printer sharing available. Next I installed a RCA cable modem onto the LAN, using the uplink port on the Linksys switch. The driver for the modem was installed on the PC running Windows 2000. I
then installed the Comcast @Home software into the PC.
At this point both the cable connection and LAN were working. However the second PC, with Windows 98, couldn't use the modem. I registered with Comcast @Home for a second IP address for this computer. Next I ran the Comcast @Home installation software on the 98 machine. During the installation the PC crashed and the LAN connection was no longer working. The adapters seem to be both working and the switch has the correct lights on. Under the Workgroup icon only 1 PC is listed in each machine. What can I do to get the LAN working again?
