Hello,

Happy New Year to you all !!!

Ok, my current scenario is that I need to install Ubuntu (Minimal Desktop Ubuntu) on my system. Also, I am planning to install Arch-Linux too.

Firstly, will this cause any issues? Since it will be triple boot then, Win 7 Home Premium, Ubuntu and Arch-linux.

Secondly, I was trying to netboot ubuntu using netboot ISO image. I followed the instructions given at Ubuntu documentations (linky), but it hanging at one point. Even the log viewer of tftpd is not responding. I am not sure if I am doing anything wrong.

I got image from the link given in that page. There was one glitch though. During booting, it asked me that it is not able to locate boot image and message was something like "No DEFAULT or UI desktop Image found".

It then says "Boot:" (without quotes) and I manually entered the path to a file named linux. This started booting but hangs at one point every time. I will post that line tomorrow. It was while loading some kernel files.

Has anyone any idea what might be the possible cause or if someone has any experience before?

I have a spare CD which I am using to burn Arch-linux. In worst case, I can buy another CD, burn that Alternative Ubuntu image and call it a day, but now I am just curious to attempt and install Ubuntu over network.

Thank you.
